无麸质南瓜狗狗蛋糕 Gluten Free Pumpkin Doggy Cake


Every year I look forward to celebrating my fur babies birthdays with some self concocted gluten free  doggy food.  The month of August is the most eventful for the trios as they get to eat mommy's home made birthday cake twice in a month. This is because two furry kids were born under the same month hence they get to eat special food twice in that month.
每一年我们都很期待着家里宠物生日的到来,只有庆祝它们的生日时才会刻意为它们特制一些无麸质的蛋糕。对于它们三只宝贝来说,每年八月份因该会是最开心的月份,它们不但有蛋糕吃而且还能在那个月里能吃到到两次妈妈制做的蛋糕。

Considering the eldest dog's chronic allergies and minus some of the items from the approved list of general healthy food for dogs, I am practically left with little choice but to repeat the usage of certain vegetables or food to produce their cake.
由于爱犬老大至小就患上严重性的食物及皮肤的过敏,在食品选择上极之有限唯有采用同样的材料来制做它们的生日蛋糕。



无麸质南瓜狗狗蛋糕
Gluten Free Pumpkin Doggy Cake



Ingredients 材料 

(A)
40g  Carrot 红萝卜(tiny cubed 切成小丁)
150g Pumpkin 南瓜 (steamed & mashed 蒸熟搅成泥)
15g Brown Sugar 红糖
60g Coconut Milk 椰浆
50g Corn Oil 玉米油
2 Large Eggs 大号的鸡蛋

(B)
50g Tapioca Flour 木薯分
90g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder 发酵粉


(C) Topping 表面装饰
1 Red Tomatoes 红番茄 (sliced 切片)
1 Purple Mashed Sweet Potatoes 紫色地瓜泥 (Optional 自选)


Method 做法

Combine and sieve the flour ingredients (B) together. Set aside.
将粉料B过筛在一起。搁置备用。

Steam pumpkin cubes for 15-20 mins until tender. Mashed while it is hot.
将南瓜丁用大火蒸15-20分钟至熟软即可立刻搅碎成泥状。

Preheat oven at 180C degrees.
烤箱预热至180℃度。


Combine eggs and sugar (A) into a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add mashed pumpkin to incorporate. Add oil and whisk to combine. Then follow by sifted flours (B) and coconut milk and mix until evenly mixed. 
把材料A里的鸡蛋,砂糖一起混人盆里搅匀。接着加金瓜泥混匀,再加玉米油搅匀后又加沥好的粉料(B),椰浆(A)混匀。



Add carrot cubes to incorporate.
最后把红萝卜丁混入。

Transfer batter into a 6 inch cake pan. Decorate the top with tomato slices.
将混好的面糊置入个6寸蛋糕模具。表层上摆上红番茄片为装饰。

Bake in the centre rack of the preheated oven for 28-30 mins.
然后转入已预热烤箱的中层烘烤28至30分钟即可。

Pipe mashed sweet potatoes (if needed) to decorate. Allow cake to cool completely before serving.
蛋糕出炉后可以用挤花袋在表面挤适量的紫色地瓜泥为装饰。待蛋糕冷却便可让爱犬享用。

无麸质狗狗天使蛋糕 Furry Angel Cupcakes.....for my Chihuahua Lil Chloe


Wondering what to make for your four legged babies' birthday? 
您是否正烦恼着如何为家中的爱犬庆祝生日吗?


This is a very light and healthy cake recipe to indulge your love pooch. I made it for my 2nd baby Li' Chloe's 7th birthday last month. All of my three furry babies love it very much.
这是一道轻盈即健康的蛋糕食谱给予您的爱犬。我正好上个月庆祝老二Chloe的七岁生日而制做了这项蛋糕,结果它们三只宝贝们都很喜欢吃呢!



无麸质狗狗天使蛋糕
Gluten Free Furry Angel Cupcakes


Ingredients 材料

(A)
70g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
2 Tbsp Dry Dog biscuits 任何干狗粮 (blended 搅碎)
1 Banana 香蕉一条 (mashed 搅碎成泥)

(B)
5 Egg Whites 蛋清
30g Castor Sugar 细砂糖
1/2 Tsp Cream of Tartar 塔塔粉

(C)
Banana 香蕉 (sliced 切片)
Some Green Peas 绿豆


Directions 做法

Preheat oven to 175C degrees.
烤箱预热至175C度。

In a clean and grease free mixing bowl, beat egg whites (B) until frothy. Add cream of tartar and castor sugar gradually until stiff peaks.
把蛋白放入一个干燥即干净搅拌盆里,用打蛋器把蛋白B打出一些泡沫接着分次加入塔塔粉,砂糖,打成尾端挺立的蛋白霜即可。

Sift in potato flour (A) and fold to incorporate.  Add blended dog biscuits and mashed banana (A) and fold until mixed.

沥入马铃薯粉A轻轻的拌入混匀,然后再把A里的干狗粮碎,香蕉泥拌入混匀即可。


Transfer batter into muffin cups and decorate the top with banana slice and peas (C).
把混好的蛋糕糊盛入松饼纸杯,面糊上摆设些香蕉片及绿豆为装饰。

Bake in the center rack of the preheated oven for 20-22 mins.
置入已预热的烤箱的中层烘烤20-22分钟即可。

Allow cupcakes to cool on cooling rack completely serving your furry babies.
烤熟的蛋糕摆在凉架上待凉后才让爱犬们品尝。

无麸质健康南瓜狗饼 Healthy Pumpkin Dog Treats


I love my furkids very much and treat them like my own offsprings. They are like children who are forever in childlike state, constantly looking up to us for attention and emotional support.
我非常爱护家里的三只爱犬,对待它们有如自己亲生骨肉一般的爱着。在我的眼里它们就像永远长不大的小孩,时时刻刻都在依赖着我们,需要我们不停给予照顾及精神上的安慰。

Among my 3 lovely fur babies, the eldest one is born with severe chronic allergies to most food and preparing custom home cooked food for her is a daily routine. We tried out best to keep them in good shape by giving food which corresponds to their health and growth stage.
在这三只宝贝爱犬当中,老大自小就患上先天性的食物和环境过敏症一旦接触到不适的食品就会癫痫发作,受尽了多年的痛楚。因此这些年来对于它们的生活饮食我都是依各自的身体健康需求而亲自下厨为它准备一切的饮食,希望能帮助它们的健康成长。

Despite the endless bouts of health issues and challenges all these years, my eldest baby Coco who has gone deaf and blind, managed to sustain till a ripe 15 years of age and still counting. Recently, a mass bout of malignant tumor started to invade her pelvis area and within a short period of 3 months the tumor has grown into 6 times the original size. Given her advanced age, the vet discouraged performing surgery to remove the lump citing that the removal would put our baby into more risk than good.
仅可老大忍受了多年的病痛而后来恶化至双眼变盲,耳朵也完全聋去,它还是努力的活着一直撑到15年。很不幸的,它的身上最近长出一块恶性肿瘤而在短短的三个月内扩大六倍极之可怜。由于它年寿太高,兽医不鼓励动手术来切除肿瘤怕爱犬承受不起麻醉药而死去。

We are saddened to learn that her days are numbered and soon she will have to leave us. Hence I set out to make her a batch of home made treats and indulge her when she is still able to enjoy her food.
如今获知它不久后将要离开,我便做了这批南瓜饼给它还能吃的情况下品尝。

无麸质健康南瓜狗饼
Healthy Pumpkin Dog Treats


Ingredients 材料

400g Pumpkin 南瓜 (steamed & mashed 蒸熟搅成泥)
3 Tbsp Organic Flaxseeds 有机亚麻籽
500g Tapioca Flour 木薯粉
250g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
1 Tsp Baking Soda 小苏打粉
3 Eggs 鸡蛋
150ml Cold Water 冷水


Directions 做法


Preheat oven to 175C degrees.
烤箱预热至175C度。

Combine sifted tapioca flour, potato flour, baking soda and flaxseeds into a mixing bowl. Set aside.
先把过沥好的木薯粉,马铃薯粉,苏打粉和亚麻籽混入,混匀搁置。

In another bowl, combine eggs and pumpkin puree together until incorporated. Then transfer into the flour mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add water (as needed) and use hands to knead the dough together.
将鸡蛋,南瓜泥一起混入另一个小碗,混匀后转入粉料里搅匀。接着倒入适量的冷水,用手搓揉将面糊混合成团。




Place dough between 2 plastic sheets and roll into 3-4mm thick sheet. Remove the top layer of the plastic sheet and flip dough onto the tabletop sprinkled with potato flour then remove the plastic sheet.
再把面团置入两片塑料纸之中,用杆面棒杆成3-4mm厚度即可取出上层塑料纸,然后把面团倒入已撒上少许马铃薯粉的桌面上,再取掉第二片塑料纸。


Use cookie cutter to cut dough to desired shapes. Place cookies on baking pan lined with slightly greased parchment paper. 
使用饼干切割模把面团切成喜欢的形状,排在已涂上少许食油烘焙纸上置入烤盘。

Bake for 22-25 mins until the top has browned and dried out completely. Allow cookies to cool on wire rack completely before storing in air tight container.
把面团烘烤22-25分钟直到表面上色及完全干透即可。将烤熟的饼干摆在凉架待凉后才置入密封的罐子收藏。

无麸质香蕉蛋糕 Gluten Free Banana Cake.........Dedicated to our beloved Chihuahua Chloe


The month of August is the most eventual month for our household as both me and hubby as well as 2 of our fur babies celebrates each other's birthday. 
每年的八月份都是我俩夫妻和其中两位宠物宝宝们的生日。


At our age, we no longer celebrate each other's birthday nor expect any forms of gifts. Instead, we channel our attention to our four legged babies with each passing year since they have shorter lifespan then we do. Hence, we cherish every moment single moment with my three fur kids.
我们俩夫妻到了现在这把年纪后就不再把彼此的生日当一回事,各自也不再特别做任何生日庆祝或要求任何礼物。唯有在乎的是家中那三只宠物的安康,尤其是它们的寿命没我们般长,所以我们更是珍惜与它们相处的日子。


We just recently celebrated the youngest 4th birthday and now its the chihuahua's turn to blow her 6 candles and make her doggy wish. Happy birthday Lil' Chloe! May you be merry and healthy always!
我们在两个星期前才庆祝老么的四岁生日,现在即轮到老二吉娃娃吹它的生日蛋糕许它的狗狗愿了!愿可爱的小Chloe永远开心,身体健康哦!


无麸质香蕉蛋糕 
Gluten Free Banana Cake

Ingredients 材料

70g Mashed Bananas 香蕉泥
45g Grated Carrot 红萝卜丝
60g Tapioca Flour 木薯粉
20g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
10g Corn Flour 玉米粉
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder 发酵粉
1 Grade A Egg 鸡蛋(大)
25g Olive Oil 橄榄有
5g Soft Brown Sugar 幼红糖
160g Purple Sweet Potatoes 紫薯 (mashed搅碎成泥)  


Method 做法


Preheat oven to 175C degrees.
烤箱预热至175C度。

Line and grease a 5" round cake mould.
在5寸圆形蛋糕模底铺上烘焙纸后涂抹油脂。

Peel and wash purple sweet potato. Cut into cubes and steam for 20 min until softened. Immediately mashed it while hot. Transfer into piping bag and set aside.
紫薯去皮,洗净后切丁。大火蒸20分钟至软化。趁热时立刻搅成泥状后置入挤花袋备用。

Combine and sift tapioca flour, potato flour, corn flour and baking powder together into a bowl until evenly mixed. Set aside.
把全部的粉料(木薯粉,马铃薯粉,玉米粉和发酵粉)一起混匀,沥入盆里搁置备用。


In another mixing bowl, combine egg and sugar. Whisk until light and fluffy.
在另一个搅拌盆里,倒入全蛋和糖一起打至松发。

Add mashed bananas and grated carrot. Mix well.
继续加香蕉泥和红萝卜丝,混匀。

Stir in oil and mix till incorporated.
接着加橄榄油,搅匀。

Add sifted flour ingredients and fold to combine. 
再沥入粉料,拌匀。

Transfer cake batter into cake pan and bake in the center rack of the preheated oven at 175C degrees for 30-35 mins until cooked.
拌好的蛋糕糊转入烤模,送入已预热的烤箱的中层以175C度烘烤30-35分钟至熟透为止。



Place the baked cake to cool on cooling rack before unmoulding. 
蛋糕烤熟后搁置铁架待凉,脱模。

 Pipe the top with mashed sweet potatoes. Decorate with grated carrot.
蛋糕冷却后便在表层上采用紫薯泥及红萝卜丝装饰即可。

无麸质地瓜红萝卜蛋糕 Gluten Free Sweet Potato Carrot Cake.........Happy Birthday Jolly Cookie


Time flies without realizing and now my youngest fur baby Cookie is already 4 years old. They are all my daily bundle of joys who brightens my life with their love and loyalty. My three canine fur babies certainly befits the title being 'Men's Best Friend'.
时间流逝,转眼间我的老幼(宠物宝宝)已经四岁了。家里的三只可爱即忠心的宠物爱犬们一直都是我们的精神资助给予我们许多的欢笑和温馨,简直就是‘人类的好朋友’。


Made this healthy gluten free birthday cake so that the oldest one can also get to eat it. She is highly allergic to gluten, yeast, rice, wheat and red meat hence this cake is custom bake to cater for all. Actually, it is so yummy that I plan to make a sweeter version for our own consumption later. With this current amount of sweetness in this cake, all my fur babies seem to love it so much.
为了配合老大对麸质, 酵类, 米和红肉类的过敏,我特别制做了这道无麸质版的地瓜红萝卜健康蛋糕让它们三个都有得享用。看着它们吃得津津有味的样子,我想下次也来制做同一道‘加糖’的版本自己享用。 


无麸质地瓜红萝卜蛋糕
Gluten Free Sweet Potato Carrot Cake

Ingredients 材料

70g Mashed Sweet Potato 地瓜泥
60g Grated Carrot 红萝卜丝
60g Tapioca Flour 木薯粉
15g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
10g Corn Flour 玉米粉
1 Grade A Egg 鸡蛋(大)
1 Egg Yolk 蛋黄
60ml Olive Oil 橄榄有
1 Egg White 蛋清
10g Castor Sugar 幼糖
1/2 Fresh Apple 新鲜苹果


Method 做法


Preheat oven to 175C degrees.
烤箱预热至175C度。

Line and grease a 5" round cake mould.
在5寸圆形蛋糕模底铺上烘焙纸后涂抹油脂。

Peel and wash yellow sweet potato. Cut into cubes and steam for 20 min until softened. Mashed and set aside.
地瓜去皮,洗净后切丁。大火蒸20分钟至软化。搅成泥状后搁置待凉。

In a clean and grease free bowl, beat egg white until stiff peaks. Set aside.
把蛋清放入个干净无幼脂的碗,将蛋清打至硬性发泡。搁置待用。

In another mixing bowl, combine egg yolk, egg and sugar. Whisk until light and fluffy.
在另一个搅拌盆里,加入蛋黄,全蛋和糖一起打至松发。

Add grated carrot and mix well.
继续加红罗卜丝混匀。




Loosen the mashed sweet potatoes into the egg carrot mixture and stir to combine.
把冷却的地瓜泥弄松,加入鸡蛋红萝卜液内,搅匀。

Add flour ingredients and mix well.
再放粉料,混匀。

Stir in oil and mix till incorporated.
接着加橄榄油,搅匀。

Gently fold in the beaten egg whites till mixed.
轻轻的把打发的蛋清拌入蛋糕糊,快速以翻拌的方法拌匀。


Transfer cake batter into cake pan and decorate the top with apple slices and doggy treats.
将蛋糕糊倒入模具,在表层上铺上苹果片及狗狗零食装饰即可。

Bake in the center rack of the preheated oven at 175C degrees for 35-40 mins until cooked.
送入已预热的烤箱的中层以175C度烘烤35-40分钟至熟透为止。

无麸质三宝狗蛋糕 Gluten Free 3 Goodies Doggy Cake


Yesterday was another memorable day for us as we celebrated my eldest furry kid's 14th birthday! In human age, that's a very huge number equivalent to 98 years old!
昨天是我的爱犬老大的14岁生日,同时也是一个很有意义及值得纪念的日子。以人类的岁数计算的话它已相等于98的人寿了!


Still we are very thankful for having her with us all these years and our love for her grows every single day. Watching her happily running about as a puppy and gradually progressing to a feeble, blind, deaf and arthritic aged doggy, we have nothing else to ask for except for her welfare and comfort during such difficult time.
尽管如此,我们对于它这多年的存在万分感激而对它的爱护也日益的增加。眼看着它从幼小可爱活泼的小狗逐渐步入老化成一只微弱,盲,聋及又受到全身因关节炎而疼痛的老狗,我已不再有任何何求,只要它过的舒适即不受太多的苦我就满足了。

With each passing birthday celebration, we prayed for her well being hoping for being able celebrate the many following birthdays to come.
当它每过一个生日,我俩都为它祈祷愿能在以后的日子能够再继续为它庆祝生日。


As my old baby girl is highly allergic to wheat and rice, I have specially made her a gluten free cake with purple sweet potato, potatoes, pumpkin and organic wheat free chicken treats. The cake turned out so well while filling the house with the aroma of sweet potatoes. It smells so good that I am so tempted to eat them. If you wish to do so, I suggest you increase the sugar content and also to omit the doggy treats in the recipe. Just follow the rest of the recipe and you will be chomping the cake away on your own.
由于我的爱犬对含有小麦和米类的食物过敏,我就特别为它制做了一道无麸质的生日蛋糕。蛋糕是采用紫地瓜,马铃薯,南瓜,鸡蛋和有机无麦鸡肉饼为主原料来制做的。烘焙出来的蛋糕特别的香浓,整个屋里填满了蛋糕的香味,就连我都忍不住想去吃。其实这道蛋糕食谱您也可品尝。您只需添加配方里的糖份及去掉里头的有机无麦鸡肉饼,然后配上自己喜欢的配料再根据食谱的做法就可以制做出一道美味可口的蛋糕了。或许到时你也会像我的狗狗一样抢着来吃哦!

无麸质三宝狗蛋糕 
Gluten Free 3 Goodies Doggy Cake

Ingredients 材料
(A)
60g Tapioca Flour 木薯粉
60g Potato Flour 马铃薯粉
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder 发酵粉

(B)
150g Purple Sweet Potatoes 紫地瓜
140g Pumpkin 南瓜
80g Gluten Free Chicken Treats 有机无麦鸡肉饼
4 Large Eggs 鸡蛋(大)
35g Brown Organic Sugar 有机红糖
60g Corn Oil 玉米油
80g Coconut Milk 椰浆

(C)
350 Potatoes 马铃薯
Few Gluten Free Chicken Treats 有机无麦鸡肉饼



Method 做法


Sieve and combine ingredients (A) together into a bowl until mixed. Set aside.
把材料A一起混合,沥入碗里。搁置待用。

Transfer chicken treats (B) into a food processor and process it to fine bits. Set aside.
有机无麦鸡肉饼B倒入食品加工机搅碎成粗粉状。搁置待用。

Steam pumpkin and mashed while its hot. Cover and set aside to cool.
南瓜以大火蒸熟,趁热捣碎成糊状。盖上搁置待凉。


Cut potatoes into cubes and steam until tender. Immediately add 1 Tbsp of corn oil and coconut milk each into the  steamed potatoes and mashed it while its hot. Transfer mashed potatoes into a piping bag and set aside for later use.
马铃薯切丁后用大火蒸熟透至软化,马上各自倒入1汤匙玉米油和椰浆混入,趁热捣碎成泥状。把马铃薯泥放入已套上挤花嘴的挤花袋里,封起来搁置备用。

Cut purple potatoes into cubes and stem until tender. Immediately add 1 Tbsp of corn oil and 2 Tbsp coconut milk into the  steamed potatoes and mashed it while its hot. Cover and set aside to cool.
紫地瓜切丁后用大火蒸熟透至软化,马上倒入1汤匙玉米油和2汤匙椰浆混入,趁热捣碎成糊状。立刻盖起来搁置待凉。

Preheat oven to 160C degrees.
烤箱预热至160C度。


Using an electrical mixer, beat eggs until frothy. Add sugar and continue beating on medium speed until the mixture is thick and tripled in volume.
使用电动打蛋器把搅拌碗里的鸡蛋打至发泡,加入糖后继续以中速打发至体积变3倍大即可。

Whisk in the floor mixture (A) in 2 additions and fold to combine.
份两次把所有的粉料A沥入,拌匀。


Add in the balance corn oil and coconut milk to fold to incorporate.
加入剩余的玉米油和椰浆,拌匀。

Divide the batter into 3 equal portions.  Add mashed purple sweet potato to one portion while the balance 2 parts to be combine with mashed pumpkin and blended chicken treats each.
将面糊分成3等份。第一份拌入紫地瓜泥,拌匀。接着的两份各自拌入南瓜泥与有机无麦鸡肉粉饼。

Fold all the batter to combine. The batter with the purple sweet potato will be drier than the other two batters.
全部的三份面糊都是用翻拌的方法拌匀。紫地瓜面糊的那份会稍微带干。


Spoon in the 3 different cake batter into a greased 7-8 inch cake pan.
各自把3份面糊依序地勺入一个抹了油脂的7-8寸的蛋糕模具。

Transfer the cake pan into the preheat oven and bake for 30-35 mins or until cooked.
送入已预热至160C度的烤箱的中层烘烤30-35分钟至熟透为止。

Cool the cake onto the cooling rack for 30 mins. Unmould the cake and place it on a flat plate.
将模具取出烤箱,摆在铁架上待凉30分钟后才脱模取出蛋糕装入一个瓶面盘中。


Pipe mashed potatoes onto the cake surface and decorate with chicken treats as desired.
把马铃薯泥从挤花袋里在蛋糕的表面上挤出自己喜欢的装饰,最后在装饰好的蛋糕上摆几份
有机无麦鸡肉饼即可。
